Wedding Invitations

These wedding invitations were just completed. They took a while to assemble, longer than I expected, but Im very happy with the result. All addresses and information have been blurred out for the couple's privacy. Let me know what you think. The invitations are a booklet tied together with a ribbon and the envelopes have been hand sewn to accommodate the square cards in a regular envelope.

Austin Family Round Two

Austin Family magazine asked me to illustrate an article for their next issue. Ill let you all know when its out, but here are the illustrations. It is an article about mothers dealing with empty nest when their children go off to college. The editor and I both thought taking the nest and feather theme throughout would be a subtle but nice accent to the story. (Ill post pictures of the magazine print when its out)

(top illustration is full page with text, bottom two are spots within the story)

Painting Complete

The Portrait of our friend's daughter is finally complete, it needs the edges painted and needs to dry long enough to package up before sending it out, but Im really happy with it. I hope they are too! (I will try and post a better picture this afternoon)

Baby Shower

These invitations may look familiar to some of you. I took the basic concept from the first project Brooke and I did together and twisted it for this new project. The mother-to-be really likes blue and brown but isn't going to find out the sex of the baby before the birth so it needed to be neutral but still cute, sweet and sophisticated. The dot colors are taken from the baby bedding that the mother-to-be registered for. In the pictures it looks dark, but the background and envelope are chocolate brown. This package included custom mailing labels for the dark brown envelopes. Im pretty happy with the way they turned out, let me know what you think.

3rd Birthday Party invitations

This Invitation was commissioned for a friends daughters birthday party. Its going to be an art party and they wanted it to be very colorful and playful. Final piece when folded is 5" x 7" to fit in a plain white A7 envelope.
